Packing for a move can be a daunting task. Fear not, I am here to help. Let’s talk about different type of boxes you can use.

Lets start with specialty boxes – the VIPs of your moving arsenal. These boxes are like tailored suits for your valuables, offering bespoke protection for delicate items like chinaware and precious artworks.

Cardboard boxes are the OGs of packing. They’re affordable, lightweight, and versatile – basically, the jack-of-all-trades and are generally the most bang for your buck.  Here's the catch though…. they’re not fans of extreme temperatures or unwanted critters. Keep them cozy in a climate-controlled space to avoid any soggy surprises or unexpected rodent guests. You can get these from most office stores, general stores, hardware stores, or amazon.

A step up from cardboard, but not as expensive as specialty boxes, we have plastic boxes, the superheroes of storage. They’re tough, waterproof, and come with handy self-sealing lids. From keeping your jewelry safe from humidity to warding off pesky pests, plastic boxes have got your back. These can be bought at Lowes, Home Depot, or Walmart.

When it comes to choosing the size of boxes there are a couple of things to think about. Think of big boxes for bulky items and cozy (small boxes) for clothes. Large boxes are perfect for kitchen gadgets and bedding, while wardrobe boxes make clothing transport a breeze. And don’t forget the medium and small boxes for everything in between.
